The Break Up

rose-676760_1280

We used to be so close
But something got in the way
I don’t know what and I don’t know how
But from each other we began drifting away

We fought a whole lot more
Over the smallest of things
And things got harder as out of each other
The worst we would bring

We decided to mutually end it
And thought things would be better
And while they may be so
I cannot help but remember

The days when we were happy
The days when things went well
The days when we were in love
And everything was swell

I’ve come to accept it now
Months down the track
That we are better off not together
And better off not going back

Moving on is hard to do
But is something everyone goes through
All I hope for is that in the end
While we may not be in love, we will still remain friends

    @ Ani: It’s only a poem… 🙂 A bit of creative license here…

@ Nu: I just imported entries from my other blog which I’m closing down. I used to only have poetry on that blog. Thanks for the comment!
