My Little Sister

You entered this world
Five years after me
While initially excited
It sparked some jealousy
You followed me around
But I wanted space
I’d say hurtful things
Leaving sadness on your face
I did get protective
And fought with others
No one could be mean to you
Other than your big sister
Most years were fun
When together we’d play
But then we’d fight
Tearing the other’s hair
The older we grew
The closer we became
The secrets we shared
The laughter and the pain
Despite being miles away
We still share a bond
My little sister;
Of you, I am fond!

It’s funny how that works…it’s ok for us to fight with our siblings but god forbid someone else tries it! 😛 At the end of the day, underneath all that rivalry is a whole lotta love! Thanks Vishal!

Thanks More than words! Haha…had to laugh that it got you thinking about family planning. But yes, no matter how much my sister and I fought when we were young, I remember feeling a bit sorry for those without a sibling because even the fights were interesting! 😛

I loved this part very much coz it shows the possessiveness of this relation
