She felt good for the first time in months. It was a big step. To revisit the places they had been together. As she took in the clean air of the mountains, she reminisced about the time they ate grapes together under the fog of the afternoon during their very first hike together. Right at this spot.


Instead of the usual ache that came with the memories, she smiled. It was time to make new ones. On her own and with new people.

She felt her heart begin to heal as she put one foot forward to climb that mountain.
