The Final Call

medium_5258449525

In the quiet of my room
Staring at the screen
Reading words
Previously I’ve seen
Their hurtful words
Me, they haunt
Now numb to the pain
Of constant taunts
For I’ve decided
To end it all
As I respond
To death’s call

Oh no–so tragic. I took it as cyber bullying. I worry about this a lot for young people. I like your approach to the prompt.

I like the fact that you mention the haunted feeling of being bullied – I think that’s one of the driving forces behind the decision “to end it all.”

How is that people do not get how powerful their words are. You’d think we would after being on this planet for so long. I get really worked up by bullying. Great photo for great words.

Unfortunately you hear so much of this in the news. Good job with the prompt. But for any teenager out there – Remember, sticks and stones may break your bones, but words can never hurt you. Unless you allow them.
