New Year #BarWoWe

As a new dawn arrives
Signalling a fresh year
Men, women and kids
Kick resolutions into gear

“I’ll lose my last five kilos”
“I’ll exercise every day”
“I’ll quit junk and sugar
And aspire to run ten k”

“I’ll go to bed early”
“I’ll quit smokes and beer”
“I’ll learn a new language
And face all my fears”

They always start the year
With lofty dreams each
It all seems doable
And never out of reach

After a month has gone
The novelty starts to fade
Almost every person
From their goals has strayed

You don’t need a new year
To make changes galore
Evolve any way you want
Spread your wings and soar

All four prompts in one poem! Brilliant 😍
Though I’d like to say that even I’ve made a decision to finish learning Spanish this year (even though I’ve been saying the same thing for the last two years *hides face* *runs away*) 😛

How beautifully you weaved the poem with all four prompts. Love it, Sanch! And yup, that’s a reality. I stray off my goals in a month as well. But, this time I should stick to it.
