Kitty Kapers

Introducing Buttons…

…my second kitty. Buttons is a welfare kitten and about 4 months old. I got him yesterday after eventually making a decision some weeks ago to get a second kitty. He’s a silver tabby.

He’s constantly moving…hard to get pics of him!

Unfortunately, little Pebbles is jealous and has been hissing every time she sees him and has not liked the fact that his scent is on me. So Buttons is currently confined to the second bedroom while I try and spend time with both. He seems happy enough in his little space but I feel guilty. Anyway, it’s going to be a gradual process and I’m keeping my fingers crossed Pebbles accepts him. He seems okay with her. In fact, this morning he tried to rub his nose on hers when I went to his room to clean his litter. Like Pebbles, he’s a cutie too. But then, I’m biased.

Will keep you updated with the progress. Or lack of it. I really hope she accepts him.

Any recommendations or shared experiences will be greatly appreciated!

Until next time,

Cheers!!!

Awwww! for someone who is terrified to keep pets…I loved the cats 🙂

PS – R the 3 year old brat is sitting next to me right now and says ‘Amma, yeh toh kitna cute cat hai…aap ke friend ka friend hai kya?’

R is such a cutie! You should get a pet for her and that way get over the feeling of being terrified to keep pets! 😉

Never dealt with jealous cats though I have had a pet cat, they are fun to have around 🙂
    I hope they’ll mingle soon.

Thanks My Era! They get jealous more so because they are territorial. Let’s just say I underestimated how territorial they would get!!!

P.S: Buttons is really cute and I loved the name. Hubby is worried that if I see some more pics of your cats, I might just go ahead and get one for myself!
