Julia Gillard – You go girl!

I could watch the video over and over again. To listen to her words. And to see Tony Abbott’s expression when he cops her speech. 😀

I don’t agree with some of her policies but damn, I agree with her on her views of Tony Abbot (who I cannot stand!!)

To those not from Australia, the Liberal party (Opposition) is akin to the Republicans in the USA [think Sarah Palin and George Bush] while the Labor party is like the Democrats. Not hard to guess who I voted for in the last election!

Thank you Julia Gillard! You make me proud to be an Aussie and a woman.

Kudos to your bad-ass-ness!! 🙂

Until next time,

Cheers!!!

I saw this on the BBC website today and was wondering if you had seen it 🙂 .
Love the way she slaughtered him.

I was shocked to hear what Tony said in the interview, his political career would have ended then and there if he was in the UK. Thats not to say sexism does not exist in the British parliament, the conservative party (that is currently in power)
was questioned about it before the budget shuffle this year and Cameron promised to deal with it but did absolutely NOTHING.

On the bright side, Britain and much of the commonwealth is way ahead of the US,
I think its going to take a lot longer for a woman in the white house (as president).

You know what really sucks, Jake? While she made positive news world over, the media here looked at it in a negative light. Go figure!!! They have been bashing her left, right and centre since this speech. Makes me sick. Sadly, Tony Abbott is the worst of the conservative party here. I reckon I wouldn’t hate them as much if someone else were the leader of the party. Tony Abbott is a bit too right wing compared to some other Liberal party members. Scarily enough, he might win the next election and I for one dread that day.
