…by Tim Rowland.
Tim Rowland and his wife Beth live on a farm with their brood of furry and feathery children. Yes, their pets and the animals on the farm. Their fur-and-feathered kids include from Juliet the Siamese cat, Opie the Bouvier des Flandres, Hannah the bulldog, Magellan the pig, Doodlebug the miniature horse, Cappy the horse, as well as more geese, cows, turkeys, chickens…and any other animal you can think of. Tim writes about the antics and experiences with all the different animals and the fun and laughter they bring. The stories range from the weird such as inter-species ‘relationships’ including a 10 day affair between a goose and a miniature horse to the almost factual one about cats trying to make people look foolish through questionably being stuck to the lovable Opie trying to find his niche area on the farm.
The stories are almost in the form of blog posts and are part of Rowland’s columns. They are all pretty funny and even if you don’t have pets, you are bound to crack a smile at the very least! Unless of course, you just don’t like animals in general. Rowland has very keen observational skills and when it came to stories about cats, I couldn’t help but nod along given my experiences with my two.
All in all, it’s a fun and easy read.
