I know what you mean almost exactly about the too fast part! I few times someone has come onto to me like this has always left me very freaked out even if I am attracted to the person. I guess my ideal relationship is someone I’m friends with first & then it evolves organically into something more (comfortable). And yes I am aware of how boring that sounds.
I wish I was capable of being in more superficial relationships for fun but I am certainly not ready for it. But enough about me.
Yes to me this does sound like the potential for something purely physical. It may be fun but it might also burn out fast. (who can say, really though? just a guess)
I think that you’re an independent single girl living alone, you luckily don’t live in India & you don’t have to answer to anyone. If you are mentally prepared for this kind of thing then go for it! This has to be the kind of thing that you can completely separate your feelings from at the outset, IMO.

Hmm, English guy does remind me of many Englishmen I’ve known and heard about: coming on quick and strong!

Truth be told, I’d say, after living here for years and years now, there is a 50/50 chance that he really just likes you a lot and envisions more than just fun. (After all, why wouldn’t he, my darling friend??!!) Seriously though, Englishmen do like Indian girls – exotic, and all that. Sometimes this drives me nuts! But that’s a rant for another day!
Many fall fast and hard, and end up with these girls. Many are just curious, and want to know what we’re like.

I’d say that you could drive the pace a little – I reckon he would respect your boundaries if you said you would love to see those places but maybe in a month or two; that you’d like to get to know him better before taking any trips.
I think that this is reasonable to say to any man! And if he doesn’t respect this, well, then maybe you’re better off without?

Having said that, though, I guess it also depends where you are at in your life.
If you feel like having some fun and throwing yourself into what may be a very unpredictable experience, then go for it! You know you always have me/us around.

    I don’t know if this helps…
if you ever want to know about Englishmen, call me! 🙂

I agree with Amie. If it feels too fast and you are uncomfortable, tell the guy that. May be throw in some jargon like “May be it is a cultural difference but I think it is moving too fast. I would feel more comfortable if we slowed down a bit.” or something along that line.

Most important thing is that you should be comfortable and enjoy yourself, whether its short term or long term. If you are not, there is no point of continuing it.

Hope it helps. Sorry, couldn’t comment earlier. Bad work day…
