I Am Anxiety

 

I had to share this video after I saw it. It’s a video created by BeyondBlue and it speaks volumes.

I am acquainted with anxiety. Sometimes more than others. There will be periods when things are fine. But anxiety will tell me that something is about to go wrong. Something.

It requires constant work to manage anxiety.

Exercise.

Exposure.

Mindfulness.

Challenging my beliefs and thoughts.

Acceptance.

But avoidance creeps in occasionally. Maybe not of situations any more. But definitely of the anxious thoughts in my head.

I know I don’t have it as bad as some people.

But it’s still there.

It’s a battle I hope to win.

Someday.
