Product Review: Hot or Cold Muesli by Table of Plenty

This is a sponsored review for Table of Plenty

When I was contacted to review one of the new breakfast cereals by Table of Plenty, I had no hesitation in saying yes. Because you see, I’m one of those people who likes trying out new cereals. A bit of variety in the mornings adds spice to my life!

Of course, an important thing for me in the last year or so is that it has to be something healthy. Before I review it, here are some things I was told about the product itself: It can be eaten as a cold and crunchy muesli or a hot porridge. It is made from all-natural raw oats, with cinnamon honey flavours and real sultanas and pepitas. It costs $5.99 at the local supermarket and is available in a 350 gms box {8 sachets}. This is what it looks like {as taken with my phone}

Voila! The sachet inside the box

I liked the hot porridge version better than the cold muesli but that’s probably because the sultanas tasted different in the former. A bit better. I’m not a fan of sultanas and in the porridge version I felt like they had a less strong taste. Not sure if that makes sense. To me, overall, it tasted like any other breakfast cereal of a similar kind. It’s quick and easy {which is brilliant for someone constantly running late in the mornings!} and can also be shoved in the bag and eaten at work. However, it was a bit too sweet for my preference. Just so you know, I’m a person that has my coffee without sugar and prefer my cereals to be unsweetened {unless it’s fruit!}.

It’s probably not a cereal I would have every day but something I would find convenient to keep in my pantry for days when I can’t be bothered to make something out of rolled oats or eggs or anything more elaborate.

What about you? Do you prefer a hot brekkie or a cold one?

Do share.

***I was provided with one box of Hot and Cold Muesli by Table of Plenty as part of the review. The opinions in this post are entirely my own and I was not compensated for this post in any other way. I’m also linking up with The Wednesday Review over at Salz Dummy Spit***

Until next time,

Cheers!!!

    On weekends I prefer a hot breakkie. During the week i’ll be lucky if I have breakfast. I’m not a huge fan of porridge but husband likes them. Will have to point these out to him.

    I am sorry but I hate porridge, I am a cold muesli girl! I dislike porridge because my boys eat it and I find it so hard to cleanup afterwards. These cereals look worth a try though
