The Month That Was

The month that was January 2014

tmtwjan

I feel like it was just yesterday that I wished everyone a Happy New Year and welcomed 2014. And just like that, it’s already February. January just flew past! It has been a busy, busy month. I have been working like crazy and socialising a lot since the middle of the month. Oh. And also, blogging a whole lot! Yes, I had about 27 posts in the first month of 2014 thanks to prompts via Write Tribe and other link-ups.

January saw me bring in my 30th year in style — my dear friends threw me a surprise dinner. I also came up with a list of 35 things to do by the time I turn 35.  In January, I also committed to starting the 12WBT program {which officially begins tomorrow}. It was a month in which one of my friends got married. I watched a documentary this month which moved me to tears. And yes, I’m still trying to figure out what I want to do to help! I spent a lovely weekend with friends who visited from Melbourne and realised that I may be more extroverted than I originally thought. Oh and I also got to ogle at Ian Kenny yet again! This time watching Karnivool perform live. 🙂

The start of 2014 has been like a lot of 2013 — busy, eventful and fun. There have been moments when I’ve had a tinge of sadness thinking about what could have been but otherwise, I have been busy living life. Just like I wanted to.

I am looking forward to February. Later today, I am having a BBQ for my friends and am a bit nervous as it’s the first time I’m hosting something for more than 5 people in a public place! Plus I’m mixing my social groups. I am looking forward to a camping trip this month as well as a friend from high school visiting the weekend after next and another friend visiting the weekend after. Yes, I envision another busy month!

How was January for you?

Did you also feel like you just made your new year resolutions?

Do share!

Until next time,

Cheers!!!

I completely agree. January flew by so fast that I hardly noticed the beginning of February! So busy and so full of snow days. ♥

Completely packed month this…I participated in UBC in Jan so I was blogging each day of the month so that kept me busy…plus I wrote for my other blog as well (Movie Massala).

I had my birthday this month too so it was a special month as well for me. Did not have any visitors and I miss being with family now. But now, I guess, soon I will be back ‘home’.

    Lovely post PB! 🙂

You are another super-woman Kajal! Two blogs and writing each day on one of those! Oh so you’re away from family too? Yeah for me, my friends are my family here and made my birthday special.

That’s great that you’ve started on the resolutions Amelia! Haha…don’t blame you for wanting Sydney sunshine…although our summer last year was better I think. 🙂

I am wondering where January went. This is a lovely way to compile a month into a post. Must try it too. Just to know what all happened in my life to trigger posts. 🙂
