If we were having coffee 3 September 2016 #WeekendCoffeeShare

If we were having coffee, I’d welcome you warmly and apologise for not having you over for about a month. While I fixed you a beverage of your choice, I’d explain how my August has been. I’d tell you the reason I haven’t invited you over for coffee is because I’ve had weekends where I went camping, hiking and then a wedding. So yeah, full on month. I also had one Saturday when I went house hunting.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’d been house hunting because I’m going to move. I’m moving some time in October {or late September} because I got a job up the coast. I start straight after the October long weekend and I seriously hope I can find a place before that so that I’m moved and ready.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how nervous I am about the move. My anxiety is shooting through the roof about finding a place, renting out my unit, packing up seven years’ worth of stuff and moving away from all that is familiar. It’s scary but I also know I need to try it out. {Yeah, that’s me convincing myself it’s all going to work out…}

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you I’ve started my writing job. Currently, I’m working from home until I finish my current job. It didn’t seem fair to cut down to four days for a month after I’d handed my resignation for another full time job. I worked 8 hours this week and I really enjoyed it. It’s writing psychology wellbeing programs so I’m combining both my loves. Who knows where this will take me?

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you I am starting the I Quit Sugar program from Monday. I’ve done my grocery shopping and a big cook up is going to happen this weekend. Speaking of which, this is one of the more relaxing weekends I’ve had in a long time. I worked from home today on the writing job and also got myself to Bikram yoga for the very first time. That was a killer! The heat…oh my goodness. That was worse than the poses. But I plan on doing it again.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that after a busy few weeks, I’m glad to be having a Saturday night at home watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix, drinking red wine, sitting with the cats and blogging away. This hasn’t happened in a while and I haven’t realised just how much I need it.

If we were having coffee, I’d ask you how your week has been. Has there been anything from the month before that you’d like to share with me?

Do share!

    Have pleasant time looking for a new place, it not easy to find just what you want. It may hectic for awhile, but events to work themself out. It may change things for awhile. Time a few minutes and relax periodically

    Sounds like my type of weekend, although I rarely have them. Gilmore Girls is a very good show I like both of the main characters. Bikram yoga…wow…I never tried it but when I first began the yoga practice it’s one I researched. I decided it wasn’t for me. Good luck on your journey with it, I’ve read several articles detailing how much others love it. Enjoy your weekend and week ahead!

    Exciting with the move! We are also moving, in October, and I have already started packing. I have boxes here and there but I seriously cannot tell any difference. This move is making me very nervous, I don’t know how we will manage to move all this stuff… aaargh! Have a great week 🙂

    If I were me, I’d tell you it has been a rough month. That I left my old job after being harassed a lot by a senior with a major complex. That the level of insecurity in my life was at an all-time high at the start of it though now it seems to be slowly fading away. That I was invited in between to go to Hyderabad as a panelist for a medical conference and enjoyed being pampered and living the royal life.
    That this year has not gone well at all in so many key levels but I still have hope.
    And that hope is something I think we both need to carry… the waves dont just crash, they do recede too, allowing for better times 🙂

      Sorry to hear it’s been a tough month Roshan. I hope quitting has made you feel a bit more hopeful. I hear you about it being a shitty year…must be something in the stars. And yes, let’s hope the rest of the year brings some better times! ☺️
