October for me, was a bit of a blur. It was also a time for change. Lots and lots of change. Early October, I commenced my new job up in the Central Coast. For two of those weeks, I lived out of a suitcase at a friend’s place. Mid-October, I made the big move from the Shire to the Central Coast. While it was traumatic for the cats, and consequently for me, they have settled and so have I.
Almost a month into my new job, I’m loving it. Two weeks after having moved here, I’m liking it except for my crappy internet. I was forced to sign up with NBN as there was no ADSL 2+ available and guess what? It’s been shit. I’ve called tech support more in this past week than I ever did in seven years with ADSL 2+. So yeah, I’m not a happy chappy about that! Having said that, I also found out it could be a modem/router issue which was supplied by my provider. Sigh.
In October, blogging was sporadic. Ideas were several but time was poor and so I mainly committed to writing my Friday Reflections posts which I co-host. I only wrote nine posts in total and practically nothing on my other blog. It’s hard to get creative juices flowing when you are constantly rushing.
Last month, I mused about how it’s good to have dreams but you really need to live it too. I reflected on what I’d wanted to be as a kid and shared a Halloween story from days gone by. After nine years of blogging, I also thought about lessons I’d learnt from blogging.
I’m hoping November can be better for blogging. I’d signed up for NaNoWriMo but I’m scared I’m going to fail. I guess I can just do my very best and see what happens. I’m hoping internet issues get sorted. November is going to be a busy month with a wedding, a hen’s night and a 35 kilometre walk in store for me. This is of course, in addition to all my other day-to-day stuff. I can’t wait for Christmas when I can finally have a break!
How was October for you?
And if you have a post reflecting on the month gone by, why not link up with me for ‘The Month that was’?
***Linking up late thanks to internet issues with Kylie for IBOT this week***
Until next time,
