The Story behind ‘Sanch Writes’

If you are new here, grab a coffee and get ready to listen to this story. I’ll be quick. I promise!

Sanch Writes began as a place to hone my writing skills {personal essays, poetry and flash fiction}. I also blogged elsewhere about everything else.  You might have met me through Living my Imperfect Life which originated in July 2014 after I had been blogging for almost 7 years. I guess I realised I outgrew my old blog name and the pseudonym I had been using. I needed a change which in a way was related to my tattoo. I got myself a hummingbird tattoo on my wrist last year to symbolise freedom, independence and living life.

Prior to this blog name, I used the blog name ‘Over Cups of Coffee‘ and the pseudonym Psych Babbler. You might still find posts with reference to ‘PB’ or ‘Psych’ or photos copyrighted to Over Cups of Coffee. They all still belong to me.

The blog on the whole started as a means for me to voice my opinions and engage in creative writing. It’s a bonus that people actually read it and give feedback! I love writing and the blogging community has certainly kept me going.

Long story short, I couldn’t manage two blogs and decided to merge them into one under Sanch Writes. This is also in the hope that it’s my writer’s platform.

If you are interested, why not take a look at some of the posts that are close to my heart?

Go on, you know you want to!

I discovered your blog via an older post of yours “Blogging under a pseudonym”, and I gotta admit I decided to check out the rest of your blog mostly because of the design (and the detail within the simplicity of your blog design). While that all sounds shallow it’s also refreshing to see someone have a personal blog that’s still successful (instead of the countless let me teach you how to blog, blogs).

On an unrelated note, I inserted my blog address (just under my email address), but I noticed links to my posts on my own blog started showing up below the comments box….I don’t know what magic you have going on in this website…but it’s a pretty cool trick. (for the record I unchecked the boxes, since it really wasn’t my intention to start advertising my blog posts here)
